Creating Sensory Images Through Environmental Print

One of the best ways to help students begin understanding sensory images is through environmental print.  Children already have sensory images attached to places and products they know.  Giving students a familiar item can lead to an exploration of sensory images.   Print off these pages we’ve created and have students add adjectives to tell what they think of when they see each sign.  You can use them as anchor charts in the room or laminate them so students can use a dry erase marker and erase.

Logo Printables

As an extension, students can find other logos in magazines.  They can cut out the logos, glue them to a piece of paper and write adjectives to describe the sensory images they have created in their heads.
