Our very own “I Can” standards for Common Core. “I Can” standards are the common core standards presented in a kid friendly format. Use these to help students and parents understand the new common core * fourth grade *standards. (Great to help teachers understand too!) They are presented as a checklist to help students self-assess their progress. Also makes it clear to parents what skills may need extra home support.

THANK YOU!!

Thank you so much! This is so helpful!

Thank you so much… I have been looking for some self-evaluation forms and I think this will work perfect.

Fantastic!!!! Thanks so much for this resource!

Is something wrong with the 4th grade math “I Can Statements”? I can’t get it to open. Everything else was great!

Hi, Angie! It should be working now. Thanks for letting us know!

Thank you for sharing this and not charging a fee. I remember the good ole days when teachers wanted to share things and didn ‘t expect people to pay!

Thank you, this is just what I have been looking for.

Thank you. These are so convenient.

Thank you for all your wonderful, hard work!

Thank you! Wow! What a great tool!

Thank you so much for putting the Common Core into kid-friendly statements. It makes it seem a lot more manageable!

What a gift – can’t wait to start the new year off with these forms – student accountability has just been upgraded… Thank You. Simply Awesome.

I really enjoy your Common Core information and suggestions. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing. Our team had to do this and I found yours. Awesome!!!

Thanks for sharing

Are these resources still available? I can’t open up any of the files.

Hi Ann-Marie! The files are there and working. You may just want to restart your browser at different points when you receive an error message. You may also need to refresh your screen if something like a dark or black screen shows up when you click on the link. Let us know if these ideas don’t work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I have been racking my brain for ways to checkoff the skills the students have learned and a way to record it to show for data and progress.

What a gift to my students! “I Can’t” wait to share your “I Can’s” with them in September!

You are the greatest! Thank you x 10!

Thanks so much for sharing these. I will be printing them out to use with my students.

Hi,

Is this a book or just an online resource. If it’s a book how do I order it? I don’t see where to get the checklists.

Thanks,

Molly

Hi Molly! Just e-mailed you the link to the checklists to make it easy for you to find. They are actually under Classroom Management, Common Core on our site. No books just yet for us!

BLESS YOU!!! This is so helpful!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you!!!! This is a tremendous help and so glad you are willing to share it with all of us! Have a great year!

Thank you so much for sharing. I am new to fourth grade after teaching third for 9 years. This is so helpful. I am trying to learn a new grade level and these are very helpful. Plus it will be easy for students to know what they need to do.

I just moved up to fourth grade. These were a HUGE help as I quickly prepare for the start of school. Thanks!

I can’t thank you enough! These are wonderful!

Thank you for this! You saved so many of us a lot of work! Great stuff!

This has saved me so much time!!!! Thanks for doing this!

Thank you!!! I have been teaching 4th grade 11 years. I spent hours trying to develop these types of questions myself. In frustration I Googled “I Can ” statements for Common Core and found your site. This is perfect!

Hi Sunny! We have had several requests for the I Cans to be presented in this way. We will get working on it soon!

Thank you so much. I will share this with my wonderful principal.

God bless you

Thank you so much for this wonderful resource!

Thank you for this essential resource. I plan on using a copy of this resource in student notebooks/binders as a means to communicate the Common Core standards with both students and parents. I have even had a large poster-size copy made for my classroom use! Thank you!

This is FABULOUS! A million thanks for sharing with fellow educators!

Thank you for the great resource! It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am very appreciative that you shared it for FREE also!!

Millions of thank yous! This is exactly what my fourth graders need! Wonderful resource & again thank you for sharing

Thank you for sharing your work! Mil gracias!

These are great I Can Statements… I printed them out and after using a hole punch in the top corner, use an O-Ring and hang these on my drawer handle of my desk! They’ll always be close at hand when I’m planning lessons.

Great idea, Judy! Thanks for sharing!
