“I Can” Common Core Fourth Grade

by Jill & Cathy on November 25, 2012

Our very own “I Can” standards for Common Core. “I Can” standards are the common core standards presented in a kid friendly format. Use these to help students and parents understand the new common core  fourth grade standards. (Great to help teachers understand too!) They are presented as a checklist to help students self-assess their progress. Also makes it clear to parents what skills may need extra home support.

Is something wrong with the 4th grade math “I Can Statements”? I can’t get it to open. Everything else was great!

Thank you for sharing this and not charging a fee. I remember the good ole days when teachers wanted to share things and didn ‘t expect people to pay!

Are these resources still available? I can’t open up any of the files.

Reply

Jill & Cathy July 3, 2013 at 12:11 pm

Hi Ann-Marie! The files are there and working. You may just want to restart your browser at different points when you receive an error message. You may also need to refresh your screen if something like a dark or black screen shows up when you click on the link. Let us know if these ideas don’t work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I have been racking my brain for ways to checkoff the skills the students have learned and a way to record it to show for data and progress.

Hi,
Is this a book or just an online resource. If it’s a book how do I order it? I don’t see where to get the checklists.
Thanks,
Molly

Hi Molly! Just e-mailed you the link to the checklists to make it easy for you to find. They are actually under Classroom Management, Common Core on our site. No books just yet for us! :)

Thank you so much for sharing. I am new to fourth grade after teaching third for 9 years. This is so helpful. I am trying to learn a new grade level and these are very helpful. Plus it will be easy for students to know what they need to do.
