This collection of addition timed tests pages includes 6 practice pages for each fact family plus mixed fact practice.

We have created a new version that allows you to download the entire collection in one download along with facts to 12. If you are interested in that collection, click on the bold, red link at the bottom of the post. If you prefer the individual downloads, they are still available here by clicking on the icons below.

These addition timed tests pages are designed to help your students with the following math standard: CCSS.Math.Content.2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.

We like to include lots of engaging practice with our addition math fact mastery goals. Some of our favorites are Bump! games which you will find throughout our site along with other basic fact games. You will find many of our math fact practice games and read to go printables here: Basic Facts Activities.

This collection of tests is designed for home and classroom use. We have included three vertical and three horizontal printables for each fact set. Each page contains 25 problems. At the end of the collection you will also find mixed fact practice and recording pages. Just for fun, we have included a simple sticker chart. Remember, if you prefer the all in one download, simply follow the red link at the bottom of the page.

If you have additional ways you practice math fact mastery in your classroom, please share in the comments below so that other teachers may benefit from your ideas.

Theresa says

You just saved me an afternoon of work making these myself! Thank you!!!

Angie says

How much time do you give them on the tests?

Jill & Cathy says

Hi Angie! Thanks for your question. When we started doing timed math fact tests in our district, the research supported 4 seconds per problem as a rule of thumb. For the 100 problem tests we gave our students 7 minutes, but we know of other districts that have given 6 minutes.

What kind of score do you expect on these tests, within the given time allowed, to show mastery?
