This counting money practice booklet is designed to give your students practice counting coins. Download the free booklet at the bottom of this post.
The counting money booklet contains 27 pages plus a cover. The pages address coin identification as well as counting coins. It is designed for easy differentiation with similar pages, but varying levels. Choose the right pages to create a class review booklet, to address needs in a small guided math group or for small differentiated groups at a math center.
This booklet was created to provide extra practice with the counting of coins. It is not designed to be used to teach your students how to count money. Please make sure this booklet is used after instruction to make it more meaningful.
Many of these activities require only a writing utensil and the booklet. However, a few extras might make the booklet more engaging. We always like to give our students the option of using coins when completing a worksheet type activity.
**If you have money stamps for some of the pages, it makes this a little more engaging for students, but if not, then they can draw the coins. We have provided an Amazon link below if you would like to purchase these stamps for your classroom.
**For the Race to $1.00 game, you will need a set of coin manipulatives in a basket for the students to use. The Amazon link for these is below as well.
**For the Least Number of Coins page you will need a set of dice.
