Use these St. Valentine’s Day scrambled sentences at a literacy center to help your students stay engaged while learning.
This set of Read, Write & Draw It! pages is designed with a Valentine’s Day theme.
You can download this set by clicking on the bold headings below in this post. Following the download for the Valentine’s Scrambled Sentences set, you will find additional sets.
Students cut out and read the words at the bottom of the pages. They then create meaning by arranging them into a sentence, gluing them in the blank boxes, writing the sentence on the line and finally illustrating the sentence to show understanding.
The first link doesn’t contain punctuation and doesn’t have the first word capitalized, but for those students who still need that support, there is a second document provided for a bit of differentiation.
We have also again provided a blank page so that you can differentiate even further by making up your own sentences using sight words or other seasonal words and phrases. Program this page with your own sentence.
For a new activity, have students create their own sentences on the blank template and trade with classmates.
