Interactive Mornings – Graphing Task Cards

These graphing task cards can help you create a new interactive morning routine!

This is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner.

This set of interactive morning routine tasks (think bell ringers) includes twelve graphing cards & a self-check. These task cards will provide your students with the opportunity to do something more engaging and meaningful than paper/pencil work as they enter each morning.

Simply print on card stock, laminate and grab some dry erase markers to get started.

You will find 12 graph task cards. These cards are intended to help you create a class graph.

You can design your graph on a sheet of chart paper or even make one on your smartboard. You might create the graph ahead of time or work to have your students make their own class graph.

In the collection there is also a checklist for students to go back and make sure their graph follows the guidelines.

We love resources like these because they are timeless and can be used year after year.

And remember – having morning routine task cards printed, laminated and ready to go will save you time with prep work each year!  You can also put a few cards into your Sub Tub and explain the procedure in your Emergency Sub Plans so that your class morning routine runs seamlessly even in the case of an unexpected absence.

My students use dry erase markers on a regular basis, being able to see how much ink is left might help them to stop wasting them haha.

Expo markers are great to use on individual student whiteboards because they allow for all students to show what they in an instant.

Expo dry erase markers are definitely an asset to any classroom setting. They allow us to be creative in our teaching and the colors are always bright!

I love your interactive morning routine ideas! I'm moving from kindergarten to 4th grade and I've been trying to come up with a morning routine that would be both engaging and meaningful. I can have the kids use the Expo markers on the whiteboard to make their graph. Anytime the students get to use the Expo markers, they are more engaged and on task.

Graphing like this will be a great use of our time after breakfast in the classroom. And by using EXPO markers, white board and laminated cards eliminate potential incidents of milk-spilled-on-morning-work!
