Video Game Truck Party = HUGE Success with 9-year olds!

by Jill & Cathy on April 1, 2013

This year we struggled with what to do for Grant’s 9th birthday.  Our house is just too small to host a party for 10-15 boys and there were no locations Grant really wanted.  Luckily, we found Gamestar Mobile Indy.  It is a mobile video game truck that parks right in front of your house!  It has 4 big screen and numerous game consoles.  What 9-year-old boy wouldn’t love that!?!  The party was easy to book and even easier to host.  If you are in the Indy area and looking for a perfect party, check them out on Facebook…http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Gamestar-Mobile-Indy/199825076731737.  And, if you do follow them on Facebook, they will let you know when they have special deals coming up.

I put together these treat bags – Hershey bars & other treats with a thank you note attached.

I used the Water bottle labels available on The Curriculum Corner Family (look for the link at the bottom of this post.)

We had a cake for his family party but for his friend party, Grant requested donuts from Taylor’s Bakery in Fishers. Don’t these cinnamon sugar twists look AMAZING!?!…they were!  The best part – no cutting a cake and no need for ice cream.

There was plenty of room for all 14 boys. Everyone got to play what they wanted with no taking turns!

I was too slow getting inside as the game truck rolled away…I had plans of placing candles in a donut and singing to Grant. The 3 dozen donuts were half gone by the time I was inside the house! The donuts were definitely a BIG hit!

If you are looking for a great boy party in the Indy area, we would definitely suggest Gamestar Mobile.  The owner, Cantrell Johnson, is great to work with as you plan your party and also wonderful when interacting with the children.

If you are looking for some of the printables I used for Grant’s party, you will find them here…
