We hope you love this free classroom resource!<\/p>\n<p>**This August writing journal is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner!**<\/p>\n<p>You can download this August journal set by clicking on the bold link at the bottom of this post.<\/p>\n<p>We have created this August writing journal to provide a writing activity for each day of August if desired.<\/p>\n<p>These journal pages are set up to be used as they fit best into your classroom.<\/p>\n<p>You might choose to use as a daily journal response in the classroom or as a morning entry activity. Some pages are available in two formats so you can choose the pages that meet the needs of your students.<\/p>\n<p>You will find a few repeats between this set and the July journal &ndash; if you are sending home a summer journal for your students, you might use a combination from both. We have kept some pages the same because we know some of you are still in summer during August.<\/p>\n<p>You might find it best to preassemble journals. Other teachers might provide students with an August journal writing center with an assortment of pages. Students can choose which pages are best for them.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the options you will find are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Journal Covers<\/li>\n<li>Word Walls (We&rsquo;ve included blank ones for students who you might like to add words for as they are requested.)<\/li>\n<li>Making Lists Pages<\/li>\n<li>Acrostic Poetry<\/li>\n<li>Telling Stories Pages<\/li>\n<li>Recording Memories Pages (There are multiple options that include pages for weekend memories, classroom activities and winter celebrations.)<\/li>\n<li>August is Poetry (Sensory poem pages for students to focus on what August looks like, tastes like, feels like and sounds like.)<\/li>\n<li>Research Minute Pages (We&rsquo;ve included some preprogrammed and one blank option.
