Choose the activities that meet the needs of your students. Some of these task cards can be used to accompany other resources you will find in the download.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Living or Nonliving Science Sort<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Students will sort the words from the book into the categories of living and nonliving. You will also find an anchor chart and graphic organizer to accompany this activity.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Book Searches<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>These four bookmarks can be a way for students to mark specific spots in the text. We included the headings visualize, word choice, illustration and connection. These could also be used for other books.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Visualizing<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Children will draw what they picture as they read. These ideas can also provide a prompt or two to lead group discussions.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Making Connections<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If students need direction you might encourage them to think about Thanksgiving or family traditions.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Other Lined Pages &amp; a Booklet<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Use the remaining pages as they fit into your classroom. Some will have directions while others are more open ended.<\/p>\n<p>For the booklet, you can have students write their own version of the book using what they see around them as the seasons
