I spent a great deal of time looking at and sharing resumes to help my trio look for jobs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I&rsquo;ve found that when you start searching for quality resumes for education, it isn&rsquo;t easy to find what you&rsquo;re looking for.&nbsp; I&rsquo;m definitely not an expert on this topic, but I&rsquo;m hoping what I&rsquo;ve learned from my research will help.&nbsp;&nbsp;I hope these tips help you write an impressive resume that helps you get the job you&rsquo;re looking for!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You will notice that it is two pages long.&nbsp; In many other professions, it is strongly suggested that resumes are exactly one page.&nbsp; However, in education it is common for teachers to have a resume that is two pages long.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I like the layout of my current resume because I feel like it looks professional.<\/p>\n<p><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16220 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) calc(100vw - 24px), 720px\"><\/noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16220 aligncenter lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2.jpg.webp 800w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-300x200.jpg.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-768x512.jpg.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2-600x400.jpg.webp 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) calc(100vw - 24px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner123\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/teacher-resume-2.jpg\" id=\"mv-trellis-img-2\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You don&rsquo;t want to add anything cute to your resume; you want to let administrators you will take this job seriously.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">However, my current resume has a few elements which make it stand out from a typically formatted resume.&nbsp; I like the solid lines to separate the sections and the bullets at the top.&nbsp;&nbsp;The format will make the resume stand out a little but in a good way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The bullets at the top are the most important part.&nbsp; Principals and other administrators can receive hundreds of applications.&nbsp; Not every word of every resume will be read.&nbsp; Administrators often know what they&rsquo;re looking for.&nbsp; Adding the bullets at the top with the strongest skills you posses, can grab the reader&rsquo;s attention and get them to keep reading.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Make sure the skills you bullet align with current best practice in education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For example, my past resume had 4 Block&nbsp;Implementation as one of my core competencies.&nbsp; When the resume was written, this was&nbsp;considered best practice for teaching reading.&nbsp; However, methods have changed and this would now be&nbsp;a skill that would make it appear as if I was not up to date on current educational practices.
