However, we also see a need for other forms of practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be helpful for students to see the real world application of the skills they are learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These word hunts were created as a way to give students that practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skills Within this Collection<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>-ed &amp; -ing endings<\/li><li>-s &amp; -es endings<\/li><li>nouns &amp; verbs<\/li><li>adjectives<\/li><li>common &amp; proper nouns<\/li><li>contractions<\/li><li>compound words<\/li><li>syllables<\/li><li>4 blank pages for any skill<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We added in the blank pages for you to be able to create your own word hunts. Make sure students are familiar with the skill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, you will want to model what students will be doing during a read aloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once students are comfortable with the task, they will practice on their own. During independent reading, they will complete the organizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be sure to follow up with a quick check-in. Have students share what they found &ndash; this will also allow you to check for understanding once students have had the chance to practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*** Please note &ndash; we are big believers in students being able to enjoy their reading instead of always having to write.
