You might also use it to guide students through work time when they work with groups in literature circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I like the idea of this because as students begin to read longer and deeper chapter books, it can be difficult for children to keep track of all of the pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From key events to important characters, giving students a place to record their ideas and thinking can be an important part of helping children become stronger readers. We have included different pre-reading and post-reading pages for you to choose from. Print one of the chapter pages for each chapter in the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the level of your students, you might use this as a way to monitor progress when they are working independently or as a way to guide your small groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, when this is being used for independent work, it is important to make sure students have a clear understanding of your expectations.
