24px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/www.thecurriculumcorner.com\/thecurriculumcorner456\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/4th-sub-plans.jpg\" id=\"mv-trellis-img-2\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of these resources have camping themed clip art, so&nbsp;we have some suggested picture books that might pair well with that theme. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lessons, activities and practice pages that are a part of our 4th Grade Sub Plans meet standards for fourth grade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up your 4th Grade Sub Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To make these emergency plans work in your best interest, plan ahead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Type up your plans &amp; directions and print these materials in advance. If you have an odd number of students you will need one extra card for the guest teacher to use so that everyone has a matching partner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pass out the cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Students look at their numbers and round them to the nearest ten. Provide an assortment of blank books and lined pages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-background has-medium-font-size has-very-light-gray-color has-vivid-green-cyan-background-color\"><strong>SCIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Animal Classification<\/b>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For this activity print and cut out the 24 different animal cards and place them in a baggie. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy class sets of one or both of the pages that accompany this activity. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sorting activity simply has students deciding on various ways they can sort the animal cards into categories based on their attributes. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second animal adaptation page may work better if your students have access to iPads, computers or tablets to do some research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Venn Diagram&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This page is for any type of open-ended compare\/contrast activity that you think would be good for your students. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy a set of the pages and then leave your idea in your sub plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Compasses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a fun and engaging activity, provide a set of compasses.
