Start here for rules and directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">Let&rsquo;s start here: What is an integer?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An integer is a whole number &ndash; it is not a fraction. It can be a negative number or a positive number or zero. It cannot be a decimal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that when someone asks you what an integer is, the easiest response is that it is a whole number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you multiply two integers, your answer will always be an integer. This means that the answer will be a whole number that is positive or negative. You will never have an answer containing a fraction or a decimal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While this is true for multiplying integers, it is not always true for dividing integers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you divide an integer by an integer your answer might be an integer.
