Students had practiced each form throughout the year and when prompted, knew the differences. However, I still felt like the key points students need to include might not be recalled quickly when it was time to respond to the prompt. I wanted to students to spend most of their time writing, not thinking about what must be included. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This first slide asks students to name the purpose of each type of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next slides are multiple choice. Some slides require more than one answer. An answer key is included at the end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using these slides<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These slides are saved as a PDF. In my room, I displayed them on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students each had an index card which they labeled 1 through 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I displayed each slide, I read it aloud. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students then put their responses on their cards. The first slide requires written answers.
