I find that having something that will hook their interest can be a good way to encourage students to enter calmly and be ready to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These slides are focused on space travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When studying space in my sixth-grade classroom, there were too many questions for me to respond to. Plus, many times, I had no idea what the answer was!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started having students record questions and then I would look into the answers. When there was time in class, I would turn it over to the students. Most often, we would run out of time and not get to the questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The slides I am sharing answer the most common questions I heard throughout the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The slides included address the following topics:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Personal Preference Kits (PPK): This is what the astronauts pack for themselves. They have a space that is 5 x 8 x 2. Challenge your students to make their own list after learning about PPKs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACES: These are the orange suits astronauts wear. The slide includes the uses and why they are orange. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EVA: These are the white spacewalk suits. This slide shares the uses and why they are white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue Flight Jumpsuit: These are the training suits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rocket Boosters: Students were very interested in knowing what happens as pieces of the shuttle are released during launch. This slide gives a quick overview of the rocket boosters being released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Snoopy on Artemis I: Yes, Snoopy was on the launch of the first Artemis! This slide shares the history between NASA and Snoopy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astronaut John W.
