We have updated our “I Can” posters! This set has a green chevron background and includes all of the current CCSS standards (as of 5/5/2014) written in kid friendly language. We think these are great for helping students and parents understand the Common Core and what is expected. Of course, we also think these are a great tool for teachers to use in their planning. We hope you find these as useful as we do.
Our updated first grade “I Can” posters can be found here: First Grade Green Chevron Posters
Our updated second grade “I Can” posters can be found here: Second Grade Green Chevron Posters

Great freebie! In VA we don’t have the common core, but I’ve worked on writing “I Can” statements for the standards we are required to teach.

Thank you for the “K” I can statements. I was informed two weeks ago that I was moving to K. This has been a big help.
I am looking for the Kinder I Can posters in Spanish. Are these available?
Thank you!
Terri
Hi, Terri! The I Can posters in Spanish will be available by the middle of August, hopefully sooner!
Thanks so much for the posters. It’s 1:30a.m. and I am on Pinterst….gotta love it.
I am not able to download the posters. How do I do this?
Hi, Belinda! To download the kindergarten posters, click on the first set of purple underlined words. Thanks for visiting our site!
Thanks a lot!
Got it! Thanks a lot again for helping me out!
these resources are wonderful!
Hi – In GA, our standards are listed slightly different from how they are printed on these posters. The ending numbers look the same, though.
Example: K.G.A.1 I can tell where I see shapes by using words like:
above, below, beside, in front of, behind and next to.
Our standard is MCC.K.G.1
Is there a way for me to edit the posters?
Thanks!
Hi, Amanda! We do not yet share a way to edit these posters although we are looking into it. We do not provide the editable version because we have had so many teachers take our I Can statements and then sell them on TPT.
Good Morning,
I think your site is amazing! I can’t find the “I Can” statements for KDG in the kid-friendly checklist. Do you have the “I Can” statements in a checklist format for KDG like the other grade levels?
Hi Jen! Yes, they can be found on the Kinder Corner.
Hi! I can’t seem to find the Kindergarten I Can Checklist either – only the posters/data binder checklists are coming up when I look on Kinder Corner. Do you have a link you could share?? Thanks so much – looking forward to revamping my guided reading plans with your resource!! 🙂
Hi Katie! Try this link:

I am currently coaching in the areas of Math and Technology in K-5th grades, and would like to see your “I can…” statements for math. Is there a way for me to preview these?
Hi Michele! The math statements can be found at the bottom of the E/LA posters on the updated green chevron resources. You will just need to scroll down to find them following all of the E/LA I Can statements.
How can I download these posters?
Hi Julie! Simply click on the highlighted/underlined resources that you wish to print and they should download for you! It’s that easy! E-mail us if you have trouble!
This is literally the most helpful thing I have ever found for my classroom! Thank you so much.
Great everything!!! I was able to get the kid friendly checklists for math, reading, writing, listening and speaking ( in English and Spanish) as well as separate math posters for each CC standard for second grade. Where do I find these for kindergarten?
Hi Darla!
Everything we have for kindergarten CCSS and “I Can” can be found here: http://www.thecurriculumcorner.com/thekindercorner/2014/09/02/everything-i-can-common-core-for-kindergarten/
