Bug Themes in the Classroom
Bugs can be a fun theme for little ones in the classroom.
You can choose cutesy bugs or realistic bugs. I bet you have some budding scientists who would like to see some real, creepy, crawly insects!
This can be an especially fun topic in the spring when the weather becomes warm enough to venture outside and hunt for bugs.
Remember to teach your children that they should look, not touch. Helping them learn that the bugs will die if they collect them in a jar and bring them inside might carry over to home nature exploring.
You can have children use ipads to take pictures and provide them with magnifying glasses for a closer up look.
