This simple Christmas booklet is designed for your beginning readers. While it does have a Christmas theme, it is filled with Santa and presents, there are no Christian references.
Of course we realize this booklet will not fit into all classrooms. We are providing this for teachers who have requested a booklet with a Christmas theme. In our own classrooms, we did not use any Christmas resources so we understand if this is a resource you will not be using.
Children will read the page and then follow the directions at the bottom.
It includes pictures and simple sentences.
Each page has two sentences that go with the picture.
Each page has a sentence at the top and a following directions sentence at the bottom.
After practicing the booklet with students, be sure to have them add the book to their bag of books or tub of books so that they have a familiar text.
This Christmas following directions booklet is also great for students who might not have access to their own books at home.
After you have used in a small group or at a center, be sure to send it home so children can show their families what they have learned.
To assemble, print the pages in black and white. You can choose to print the books on one side or as a double sided page to conserve paper. Next, cut the pages in half and staple the booklet.
