The holidays are a great time to help children learn about differences in our world. One way you might choose to do this is by focusing on holidays in other parts of the world.
This is the third in a series of free booklets we are creating to help you introduce other celebrations to your students. Look for other booklets to be added soon.
This St. Lucia’s Day booklet contains 10 pages and can be printed front to back to help you save paper.
This booklet begins with a five paragraph passage that tells about the celebration of St. Lucia’s Day or St. Lucy’s Day. The other pages provide opportunities for children to read more facts, color and complete sentences about the celebration.
As a fun extension, you might look to share common foods eaten during this time.
There are also pages that ask children to research to find additional facts. These are marked with a tablet picture in the bottom right.
We have also provided a link to a video to accompany your focus in the classroom. Look for this link below the download link for the booklet.
