Creating this center

This download contains cards that you will print on white card stock and laminate.

Next, cut apart the cards to create the center.

There are a choice of three recording sheets. Choose the page or pages that will fit the needs of your students.

The range of cards and recording pages will provide your students with practice that is just right.

To play, stack the cards face down in a pile. (The cards start in the tens and go up to the thousands so choose cards that fit your students.)

Students will choose a card and record it on their page.

One important reminder for students is that it is not always possible for them to fine 10 or 100 less of all of the numbers in the stack. If this is the case, you can encourage students to put an X in the box. Depending on your students, some might be ready for the challenge of negative numbers.
