Celebrate Christmas Around the World in your classroom with this research activity & includes activity booklets for each each holiday.
This is another free resource for teachers from The Curriculum Corner.
This post shares our collection of Christmas Around the World celebrations resources. Great for teaching your students about other traditions during the holiday season!
We have spent the last few weeks creating booklets you can use to teach your students about some of the seasonal world celebrations that take place during this time of the year. The holidays are a great time for students to learn about cultures other than their own.
Along with the booklets
Below you will find links to all of our seasonal world celebrations posts.
These posts include:
- Chinese New Year
- Hanukkah
- Christmas in Australia
- Diwali
- Kwanzaa
- Santa Lucia
Each set of resources is presented as a booklet (with pages slightly set off to the right so that they can be stapled on the left). Printing the pages back-to-back would help save on paper, however you might also choose to use the pages separately for various reasons.
The sets all include a reading passage page. Some of these are more simple than others depending on the nature of the celebration. Depending on the level of your students, you might want to read and discuss these passage pages together.
If you don’t want to create booklets for your students, another way to use the resources is to print copies of various pages for a set of world celebration centers.
We have also created a booklet that can be used for students to create their own holiday booklet. Download this booklet and have students choose their own celebration to learn about. Provide students with books or internet access to research on-line.

Some of the pages require students to search for information on tablets to learn more about the celebration for themselves. Others involve games, additional information and writing. Choose the pages that work best for your students to create your booklets or set up your centers.
