Check out our list of funny read alouds (favorite children’s books to read aloud) to help grab your students’ attention and keep them reading!
This time of year can be tough, with spring fever and waning attention spans. We recently spent a few hours at our local Barnes & Noble book store to check out new titles and talk with them about books they love for kids right now. We came up with several lists that we will be sharing, including mentor texts to help you teach reading and writing skills.
But this list is just for fun and are PERFECT for this time of year. These are the books that have funny pictures, gross words and hilarious story lines. Some are just plain silly and will give your students a laugh. In any case check out some of these books if you need a short breather from your daily curriculum and just want to have a laugh with your students! It can REALLY help this time of year and may even help rejuvenate the readers and writers inside of your kids!
