Superhero Fry Fluency Sentences

These Superhero Fry Fluency Sentences have been created to be a free sight word resource for your classroom.

Add these Superhero Fry Fluency Sentences to your literacy centers for engaging fluency practice.

We created these Fry Fluency Sentences using the first 100 Fry Words.

These cards are broken into three sets.

Here is what you will find:

  1. Red superhero word cards – we included 12 words with a superhero focus. These words are used along with the first 100 Fry words in the fluency sentences.
  2. Yellow Fry Fluency Sentences – these sentences have been created using words from the red superhero word cards along with the first 50 Fry words. All 50 words have been used in this set.
  3. Blue Fry Fluency Sentences – these sentences have been created using words from the red superhero word cards along with the first 100 Fry words. All of words 51 – 100 are used in this set.

Along with the sentence and word cards, we have provided additional activity pages. These have been created without directions so you may use them as they fit into your classroom.

Half Page Booklet – the half page booklet can be used to encourage students to write their own superhero stories using the superhero words provided. Or, you can have students pick sentence cards to record and illustrate. When they are finished, they will have their own book to read.

Full Pages – students will use these pages to record a sentence. They will then illustrate the meaning behind the sentence they choose.

You can place the cards and recording pages at a center to create your own engaging literacy centers. For students who need additional materials added to their book baggies, you might place some of these fluency cards on a ring. Be sure to start with the yellow cards and then move onto the blue cards as students grow as readers.
