Working on numbers

When working with children to help them form numbers, be sure to include hands-on, engaging activities when possible.

You might introduce a number by having children trace the number in sand or shaving cream.

Encourage children to find the given number of objects to share with the class.

You might also laminate individual pages from this collection. Then, students can use dry erase markers for repeated practice at a math center.

For parents looking for practice reinforcing skills at home, you can provide copies of the workbook to stay at home.
