Try these apple picking themed scrambled sentences!
These will be a fun addition to your apple focus.
We know your apple celebrations might look different this year. This center is one that parents could print and practice with their children at home.
Putting Together your Apple Scrambled Sentences
- Print the sentences on white card stock
- Laminate the pages for durability if they will be a classroom center
- Cut apart the cards and place them in envelopes or small tubs
- Place at a center with the recording pages that fit your class
These free literacy center cards can be a fun addition to your apple picking themed reading practice. You might also choose to use them during your writing workshop for students who need a little help with ideas.
You will find one sentence on every page. Each sentence set will be coded with matching pictures.
We know that students can sometimes mix up sentences and this will make for easy sorting.
Students can work on these at a center table or add to a pocket chart.
Along with the apple orchard sentence cards, you will find a couple of options for recording the unscrambled sentences. Students can record on a page with lines.
Or, you can use the booklet we are providing. Students can write the sentences in an order that makes sense and then illustrate each sentence. This can be a fun way for students to create their own book with a little support.
If writing the sentences will be a challenge for your sentences, you could allow your students to document their learning by taking a picture with their tablet.
