Studying Insects

So often bugs are used as a classroom theme in the younger grades.

As children get older, you could develop an insect science unit that is high interest and engaging while hitting standards in the upper grades.

Skip the cute clip art and help your students see how insects contribute to our world. Many might not realize how important they are.

After learning about the features of insects, you could have your children each choose their own insect to research.

Maybe your students could use what they learn to create a picture book to share with a younger classroom.
