# Fraction Practice Brochures

## This is another free resource for teachers and homeschool families from The Curriculum Corner.

The unique format tends to make the assignment feel a little different and might help students focus on the assignment.

Fraction practice can lack excitement and often times, children need to repeat the steps to help them remember how to complete the problems. We hope these help eliminate some of the repetitiveness.

## Creating your math practice brochures

To prepare your brochures, print the PDF provided at the bottom of this post.

Then, copy the matching pages front to back. They are set up in a trifold format. Fold and they are ready to go!

If available, print on bright, colored paper to add a little fun to your math.

This set of five brochures addresses different skills for fraction practice. These brochures were designed around fifth grade math standards.

Within this set you will find brochures for:

• Least Common Denominator
• Simplifying Fractions
• Subtracting Fractions
• Improper Fractions & Mixed Numbers

## Using these 5th grade fraction practice brochures

These brochures were designed with fifth grade math standards in mind. Depending on your classroom, they might fit into 4th or 6th grade classrooms.

You could choose to have students complete this brochure at a math center or with a partner.

This brochure is designed to be used in cooperation with lessons on fractions. It has not been created to teach the concept but instead to provide practice for students who have already been taught the skill.

These are fabulous brochures, but there is a misprint on the first page of the brochure. For the 3rd and 4th problems figuring out the LCD of the fractions, it has the wrong fractions listed. It needs 5/8, 2/3 and 3/10, 1/2. It has the ones from the 1st (1/7, 1/3) and 2nd (5/6, 4/5) problems. Is there a way to change that? Otherwise, this has been an amazing resource for my students along with the others you provide. Thank you!
