Number sense is so very important, yet we always have students who struggle. It carries over into almost all aspects of math work and is something that needs lots of practice. To strengthen number sense in the upper grades we have developed these daily number sense resources. You can use these every day or maybe only once a week depending upon the needs of your students. Do them together or assign them for independent work to get a picture of your students’ strengths and weaknesses. You may have some who could benefit from daily practice until they show better understanding. In that case perhaps you would do them with a small guided group for a period of time.
