You can download this free suffix PowerPoint game by clicking on the bold link at the bottom of this post.

This agate stone theme is designed for your older students. Add this PowerPoint practice game to your morning welcome time or literacy centers.

As many teachers are moving towards classrooms with less paper, we are trying to help by creating new resources to fit. You can use this type of language arts game at a computer center.

This PowerPoint Language Arts game has been created to be a free resource for your classroom.

This game will give your students prefix practice. It will not be a teaching resource.

After learning about suffixes in your classroom, your students will be ready for our free PowerPoint game!

This game is designed for intermediate students! Children will be required to think carefully and choose the best answer – the goal is to make children think so the answer is not always obvious.

You might use the question slides for class discussions as well. Students can discuss why one answer is the best choice.

How to Play this Suffix PowerPoint Game

Set this up on your student computers for morning practice or during literacy centers.

You may choose if students are working independently or in groups to encourage discussion.

This game focuses on choosing the correct answer when looking at suffix related questions.  Correct answers will receive a praise slide.

To play, students need to click on the “Click Here to Start” link and they will be taken to the first problem.

When students answer correctly, they will receive a slide giving them some praise.  Students click on the wording and will go to the next problem.

Students must click on the actual text for the slides to correctly work.

When students answer a problem incorrectly, they will reach a “Try Again” slide. Students will need to click on the words to go back to the original problem to try again.

This free language arts game has the final slide linking to return to the first slide.
